The Language House is pleased to offer Volunteer English Language Teaching posts in Antalya, Turkey or Marrakesh, Morocco. Under the Ministry of National Education, both teaching projects take place either in state schools or private English language schools in and around the city center. The English teaching projects include lesson planning, preparing visual materials and utilizing internet resources. Each volunteer will have a supervising teacher to help them. The duration is from 2 to 36 weeks. Projects are available year round.
Eligibility
To be eligible for our volunteer English teaching programs you must be 21 years of age or older and you must have successfully completed The Language House TEFL certificate course. This is a non negotiable requirement because we must be able to insure quality teachers to our partner organizations in Turkey and Morocco.
Our Program Fees
Program Fees include:
- Application fee - Orientation Program
The orientation will provide you with more information about the culture and daily life in Turkey or Morocco. There will also be an introduction to the program organizer and the actual location where you will report.
- City Tour - Turkish/Arabic language lessons - Accomodations
Accomodations are with host families. All families are carefully screened and are usually a highlight of the experience. You will have a single room and shared bathroom. Some families have internet access. All meals are included.
- Airport transfers/Meet & Greet (round trip)
- Permanent Ground Support
- Arrangement of Cultural Activities
Possible activities that can be arranged such as cooking classes, shopping at the local market or a visit to the local hamam. These activities come with an added fee but the cost is minimal and always authentic
Fees do not include; travel to/from Turkey or Morocco, visa expense, health insurance, spending money or transport to and from the school.
1. Apply to attend our TEFL program at any of our locations using the on-line application form and mention your wish to continue with our volunteer English Language Teaching program in either Antalya, Turkey or Marrakesh, Morocco. You must successfully complete The Language House TEFL certificate program to be eligible for this program.
2. Once accepted we will send you a secured payment form to pay the deposit for the TEFL course fees as well as for the volunteer program.
3. The TEFL program remainder can be paid upon arrival on the first day of the course and the Volunteer Program remainder can be paid upon the first day of orientation.
